General information

Information that applies across the Haunted Hollows Network, its community spaces, and all enforcement decisions.

Welcome to the Haunted Hollows rule list

Below is a list of all in-game and Discord punishments and their lengths on the Haunted Hollows Network. Please read them thoroughly if you plan to actively play the server. If you feel as though you have been falsely punished, make a ticket in the Haunted Hollows Discord.

  • NoteAdmins and higher reserve the right to issue punishments against offenses not listed here, or modify the type or length of any punishment, when deemed necessary.
  • NotePlayers repeatedly breaking rules will be permanently banned. Players attempting to push or break rule limits will be punished according to the rule or rules they are attempting to push or break.
  • NoteNo staff ranks, including Trial, Helper, Mod, and Sr. Mod, are exempt from any Haunted Hollows rule. Report staff violations by creating a ticket.
  • NoteThe Management Team, Admin and above, reserves the right to adjust punishment types and lengths for any listed rule and grant punishments for rules not explicitly stated.
  • NoteWarnings apply for one week. Mutes and bans are permanent when considering movement to the next punishment level.

Buycraft Scamming / Third Party Trading

A player who agrees to trade a Haunted Hollows Network Buycraft item or gems for an in-game item but does not complete the trade after receiving the Buycraft item.

Duping

A player who duplicates items of any type, in any way.

Insiding [Skyblock]

Islands with multiple players are viewed as a team working toward a common goal. Items brought onto an island are part of the team pool and are property of the island, not the individual player.

  • NotePlayers may only remove items when moving to another island or going solo with approval from two or more Sr. Members of the island, including the Leader and Co-leader. Give a formal warning before removing a member, or compensate that member in return.
  • NoteLeaders and Co-leaders leaving to join another island must discuss what is being taken with the entire island and receive agreement from the other members. Failure to do so may lead to an insiding ban.
  • NotePlayers may not purposefully or maliciously undermine an island. This includes removing spawners or items, griefing the island, or selling island items and giving the money away.
  • NoteFailure to use appropriate precautions may result in an insiding report being denied. Set island permissions correctly and give members the appropriate island ranks.
  • NoteReport insiding immediately by making a Skyblock Support ticket in the Discord. Reports are reviewed case by case and may result in removal for the season or indefinitely, including affiliated accounts.

Manipulation

A player who finds loopholes in server rules or attempts to get other players in trouble.

Abusing Alts

Using alternate accounts to gain an advantage over other players, such as voting with alts.

  • NoteAFKing for less than 24 hours at a mob grinder is allowed. More than 24 hours will be punished by a permanent ban to that alt.

Lagging Server

A player found to be lagging the server in any way is guilty of this offense.

Doxxing / DDoS Threat

Threatening another player to hack or dox them, or disrupt their use of our services.

Exploit / Glitch Abuse

A player who abuses an unknown or known glitch.

  • NoteA player using a glitch only to gather information about it for Management or Admins should not be punished.

In-Game Scamming

Scamming another user for in-game items. Video proof of a scam is required for action to be taken.

  • NoteIf possible, items will be returned. We cannot spawn in new items as refunds because this damages the economy.
  • NotePunishment of the user and all action taken is left to Admin discretion.
  • NoteAlways ensure to use /trade.

Blacksmith Sharing

Asking others to use blacksmiths to form crystals or armor on your behalf. Image proof of asking or begging is required for action to be taken.

  • NoteIf blacksmiths are successfully shared and the parties are caught, items will be removed from both parties.

Stealing

Taking items from another player in any capacity, such as from a known death site without intent to return them or from private chests.

  • NoteLoot dropped by bosses is free for all until it has been picked up by a player.

Inventory Bombing

Filling an inventory with useless items and entering PvE with the sole intention of dying and dropping all items.

Advertising Server IPs

Advertising any server not affiliated with the Haunted Hollows Network.

  • NoteDiscussion of large-scale servers such as Hypixel and MCC is allowed, provided no URLs are posted in chat.

Mute / Ban Evasion

Using an alternative account while banned or attempting to evade an active mute.

TP Trapping

Teleporting a player into a PvE situation or another situation where they unknowingly die and lose items.

Command Spam

Spamming five or more commands, such as /msg, /tp, or /tpr.

Selling / Buying Crate Keys

Crate keys may only be sold or bought through the in-game auction house or the Discord #trade channel. Asking to buy or sell crate keys in in-game chat is prohibited.

Inappropriate Username / Player Skin

Having an inappropriate username or player skin.

AFK Farming, Mining or Grinding

Any farm, mine, or grind requiring auto-clickers, AI, third-party tools, or causing severe lag to the player or server is not allowed. Farms using vanilla methods are allowed, but may be removed if they cause lag.

  • NoteAFKing for more than 24 hours at a time is against the rules. This includes using pets to farm while AFK.

Inappropriate Builds

Building inappropriate objects or icons on islands, island property, or claims. The owner of the area is responsible for builds created on that property.

  • NoteThis rule is handled case by case. If unsure whether a build is appropriate, report it through the ticketing system with an example.
  • NoteIf self-reported and deemed inappropriate, the user needs to remove the build.

IRL Trading

Attempting to trade or successfully trading Haunted Hollows items or currencies for items or currencies unrelated to Haunted Hollows.

  • NoteExamples include trading in-game money for Hypixel SkyBlock coins, or Haunted Hollows gems for PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or other real-world currency.

Account Sharing

Multiple players using one account collectively to gain an advantage and progress further in the season.

  • NoteExample: a player grinds mobs on another player’s account to progress further on leaderboards or baltop.

Dragon Farming

Building a contraption or machine that automatically defeats the dragon, eliminating others’ chance to kill it.

Chat offenses

Rules for the in-game chat and player-to-player communication on the Haunted Hollows Network.

Excessive Staff Harassment

Constantly harassing or verbally abusing a staff member in their abilities as staff.

Race Baiting

Trying to incite racism or spark racial or anti-Semitic conflict.

CP Jokes

Making jokes regarding children engaging in sexual acts, or comments interpreted in a sexual manner.

Staff Impersonation

Impersonating, or otherwise trying to portray yourself as, a staff member.

Racism / Homophobic Slurs

Being racist, using racial slurs, acting anti-Semitic, or using homophobic or transphobic slurs in any way.

Light Homophobia / Transphobia

Making demeaning remarks toward an individual or group for being gay, transgender, or similar.

Death Threats / Suicide Encouragement

Encouraging another user to kill or harm themselves in any way, or making any death threat in real life or in-game.

Inappropriate Behavior

Sending continuous inappropriate messages, messages found disturbing or intended to spark conflict, sexual remarks, or attempting to make another person unreasonably uncomfortable.

Advertising Spam

Advertising, auctioning, or otherwise soliciting users in main chat more than twice within one minute.

Changing a join message to bait chat or impersonate staff.

  • NoteIf a join message falls under multiple punishment categories, staff should issue the most severe punishment.

Posting a message in chat that incites others to post messages in main chat or direct messages. This applies whether or not others join the spam.

Harassment / Taking Advantage of New Players

Harassing a new player to a point of discomfort, including repeatedly pressuring new players to sell vote keys without knowing their true value.

Discord rules

Rules for conversations, media, voice channels, tickets, bots, and all other Haunted Hollows Discord spaces.

Advertising

Posting links such as Discord invites, server IPs, irrelevant websites, and similar content.

Content Creation

You are allowed and encouraged to post Haunted Hollows-related content in the hh-content channel. Videos, shorts, or streams not related to Haunted Hollows will be removed and the user punished.

Racist or Homophobic Chat (Race Baiting)

Using racial or homophobic slurs in Discord, including content relating to race or religion.

Excessive Toxicity

Being extremely toxic to another user or staff member. Staff should use their own judgment when issuing this punishment.

Manipulation

Inappropriate Profile Picture, Nickname, or Username

Having a profile picture, nickname, or username that breaks any other rule.

Misuse of Bot and/or Channels

Talking in channels such as support with irrelevant content, or using a bot for anything other than its intended purpose.

  • NoteYou may be blacklisted from using a bot for misusing it.

Spamming

Pinging anyone three times in five seconds or five times in 30 seconds. Staff discretion still applies when a user is clearly trying to be annoying while evading these limits.

Spam Pinging

Spamming the same message repeatedly, character spam, chat line spam, or flooding chat through excessive emotes or stickers.

Producing Loud Noises and/or Ear Raping

Intentionally creating loud noises while in a voice call. All other rules also apply in voice chat.

Disallowed mods

Client modifications and tools that provide an unfair advantage or undermine normal gameplay.

Disallowed Modifications

Using a third-party Minecraft client or modification to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Modifications not listed here may still be punishable if they give an unfair advantage. Contact a staff member if you are unsure about a modification.

  • NoteKeybinds that automatically or assist in clicking are disallowed. Rebinding keys to attack is only allowed on an island.
  • NoteSchematica is allowed; Printer is not.
